What Is Testosterone?
Testosterone is the primary sex hormone in men.. This hormone plays a key role in producing masculine features. This hormone is responsible for the development of the male genitalia, sexual desire, the growth of the beard and other masculine features, as well as the heaviness of the voice. Just like when a child steps into puberty, his voice becomes heavy and his voice becomes pitch. In contrast, women’s voices are thin and high-pitched.
In the past, in Rome (Italy) and some other parts of Europe, children were “circumcised“, meaning that their testicles were removed. These children had not yet reached puberty and were usually less than nine years old. The purpose of doing this with them was to give them a thin high pitch (female-like) voice, a voice that is the subject for singing. And was considered a favorite.
During adolescence, testosterone suppresses a man’s voice by acting on a man’s larynx and vocal cords. Similar to adult women, and to some extent separated from both men and women. At the same time, they do not have the desired sexual characteristics, beards do not grow and some of their characteristics are similar to women. Due to the absence of testosterone, their bones could not be hardened due to which their arms, legs and ribs would become bigger and longer. Larger ribs increase the size of their lungs and their ability to breathe.
With these qualities they would be given song tracking for at least ten years, and at the same time with years of practice they would become successful and favorite singers of that time.
These singers are called “Castrato“, which is derived from the word “castration“, the process of castration is called castration. The castrato sang in courts, churches and opera houses, and for a time it was in great demand. Seeing the same demand, poor parents also got their children castrated and started making them castrato singers.
But the process was also painful and many children died during the process for a variety of reasons. According to records, castrato existed long ago. But the formal beginning of this work took place in Italy in the middle of the sixteenth century and then in the eighteenth century this work and the castrato singers declined.
